We chase honesty, not genres.

The Band Gooch exists because one song written for one person unexpectedly resonated with a lot of people. That first song was written for my (Jared Gooch) wife and performed at our wedding. Friends asked where they could listen to it, so we recorded it.

One song became another, and before we knew it, there was a band.

The songs are born from something we lived. Sometimes the stories need distortion, sometimes they just need an acoustic guitar. Sometimes they're reggae, and sometimes they're rock and roll. Some are loud, and some are quiet.

We don't chase genres, we just try to tell the stories of life.
